Steep spoils
Steep spoils
Bromley colliery closed in 1957 after just short of a century of operation. Despite being a relatively small concern, it amassed quite a large spoil heap to the north of the shafts. Now being slowly levelled and wooded, the steep incline is perhaps discernible here.
