Harbour Road conveniences
Some controversy surrounded the private purchase of the public toilets by Maidens harbour - as divined from the posted council minutes in the display case at Turnberry. Whilst out of commission, it can be seen that a new roof is being erected and it is to be (earnestly) hoped that normal service will be resumed shortly. It is gratifying to note that the workmen, at least, are provided with the necessary comforts - albeit portable.
Note: during a subsequent visit it became obvious that a new use was found for the building - a café.
