“Pearl’s” coffee shop opened in June 2018, on the ground floor of the renovated former Pearl Assurance House, at the corner of Chichester Street and Donegall Square East (1A Donegall Square East). I have no connection with the business and cannot enter into correspondence.
Ocean Buildings, Belfast

A sandstone building, at the corner of Donegall Square East (nos 1-3) and Chichester Street, completed in 1902 to a design by Young and Mackenzie. Originally called “The Ocean Buildings” and also the “Oceanic” and sometimes “The Pearl” . Notable for the many carvings by James Edgar Winter LinkExternal link*.
