Humber Bridge
Humber Bridge
The Humber Bridge crosses the Humber Estuary between Hessle, East Yorkshire, and Barton upon Humber, North Lincolnshire. Construction started in July 1972 and the bridge was officially opened by HM Queen Elizabeth on 17th July 1981. When opened, it was the world’s longest single-span suspension bridge, though is now the eighth longest such bridge. This view is from the north bank of the Humber Estuary.
