The elaborate Early English bell turret on the east gable of the nave is said to have been put there in 1853 on the demolition of the central tower.
The church of St Mary has parts from the 12th, 13th and 15th centuries. The church was rebuilt and restored in 1853. The interior was restored in 1912. Listed, grade II*, with details at: Link
