and dates from 1894. It was still open when Dr Neil Clifton visited in 2010 SD5805 : Wigan: The 'Victoria Hotel', Wallgate but it has since closed and been converted into apartments on the upper floors and retail space on the ground.
Two plaques SD5805 : Winged Wheels and SD5805 : Road & Path Cycling Association on the wall attest to the fact the hotel was very popular with cyclists.
