The White Garden, Streatham Common
The White Garden, Streatham Common
The White Garden is part of the Rookery area of Streatham Common. When it was first laid out by London County Council in 1913 to a design inspired by Gertrude Jekyll, the idea of a garden based on one colour was quite radical. Today it is the only white garden in any of London's parks and was revitalised in recent years.
