The garden comprises an upper lawn and a formal lower garden, which contains one of the largest Tulip trees in Norfolk, the second largest London Plane tree in the county > Link , a very rare Wollemi pine tree > Link , a Woodland and a Jungle Walk > Link , Queen Victoria's Hebe > Link , a Bambooserie > Link , a wildflower labyrinth > Link and a vegetable garden > Link for the bishop and his family .

Apart from the Bishop's House > Link the only other buildings in the grounds are Bishop Salmon's Porch (early 14th century, Grade II* listed) > Link and Bishop Reynold's Chapel (1660s, Grade II* listed) > Link. The Bishop's Garden is accessed via Bishop Alnwick's Gate > Link on St Martins at Palace Plain.
