Former St Luke's Church Centre, East Bierley - side
This is the west side of the building onto Bierley Marsh. The building was originally known as the Memorial Hall - one source suggests it was built "sometime between 1893 and 1905" but another dates it to being contemporary with the nearby war memorial SE1929 : War Memorial and garden of remembrance, South View Road, East Bierley, Hunsworth i.e. circa 1920. Either way, it became a place of worship of Birkenshaw-cum-Hunsworth parish in 1961, replacing a facility in the nearby school. The last service was held here on 9 September 2018.
