The River Suir is 185km long. It rise on Devil Bit's Mountain in Tipperary and flows south to the Atlantic at Waterford.

Cahir Castle

Cahir Castle, one of the largest castles in Ireland, is sited on an island in the river Suir. It was built from 1142 by Conor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond. The castle is well preserved. The Castle is a National Monument of Ireland.
