This is where you buy the tickets to enter this park. The park is run by a non-profit organisation. It's a strange mix of pre-historic remains, items which may or may not be partially or completely historical reconstructions and things like a standing stone, which is much smaller than any others I've seen (and I've seen a great many) and to me is not very convincing (but I don't claim to be an archeologist). Also there is a "fairy path" and some tumble down vegetation covered crumbling walls of what is said to be a typical Irish cottage of the time of the 19th century famine. You can see plenty of abandoned cottages almost everywhere you go in Ireland and most of them give you a far better impression of what a cottage looked like that this example. However these are entirely my personal views (shared by the friend who was with me) but what is indisputable is that to get to see the features you are faced with a long and very steep climb. OK if you are reasonably fit but if you're not, or reliant on a wheelchair, this place is one to avoid. Indeed Ireland is so full of wonderful historical sites, that this place in my view is one you can safely omit from your itinerary.
