Bonane Heritage Park - reconstructed crannog (1), near Kenmare, Co. Kerry

This is a reconstruction of a crannog, which is an enclosed lake dwelling. Access was by stepping stones just under the water level, or by small boat. It's not clear if this is a reduced scale reconstruction but if not, then people must have been considerably smaller than today.
