SD7916 : Former Ramsbottom Paper Mill

taken 15 years ago, near to Ramsbottom, Bury, England

Former Ramsbottom Paper Mill
Former Ramsbottom Paper Mill
Taken when this mill was operated by Mondi. Originally built in the 1860s as Ramsbottom Paper Mill when Ramsbottom was developing its industrial base. Had various names... Holcombe Mill etc. Finally closed in 2008 with its chimney being left as a stump for historical reasons. Considerable discussion on how to redevelop the site.
