NY8370 : Path alongside ditch

taken 9 months ago, near to Brown Moor [other Features], Northumberland, Great Britain

Path alongside ditch
Path alongside ditch
Not just any ditch. The path is a national trail, the Hadrian's Wall Path and the ditch is that dug in Roman times which ran along the northern side of the wall. The Roman wall at this location has been lost, its stones being used in the 18th. century as construction material for the 'Military Road', now the B6318!
