Lock No 2, Ashton Canal, Manchester
Lock No 2, Ashton Canal, Manchester
The Ashton Canal starts to climb almost immediately from its western end, the surroundings being the heavy industry of Victorian Lancashire. This was taken in 1981 but there has been much clearance of older buildings since then.
