The former International Hotel
The former International Hotel
On the corner of Humberstone Road and Rutland Street in Leicester.
The disused tower is 13 storeys high and dates back to the 1950s. It was the head office of shoe firm Freeman, Hardy and Willis before becoming a hotel in the 1970s. The site housed refugees until 2009 and has been abandoned since.
There are plans to build 428 flats in its place, including a 21-storey tower.
