The Crowstone
The Crowstone
Erected in 1837, replacing an earlier stone, to mark, in conjunction with the London Stone on the Kent side, the City of London's seaward limit of jurisdiction over the River Thames at that time. There is a plaque on another face of the stone explaining this. All faces are engraved with the names of the City of London bigwigs of the time.
