The view from inside show clearly the original size of the embrasure for the AT gun, and its subsequent conversion to a machine gun position by the addition of brickwork. The finishing touch was the Turnbull MG frame attached to the outside over the aperture thus created. Note too the recess below that was originally designed for a 2 pounder QF (Quick Firing) gun, and the two smaller recesses on either side at floor level for the trail legs.
