Pillbox (Type FW3/28A): EDoB ID: e07737

The front of the pillbox with on the right, a large embrasure designed for an anti-tank gun, and the small embrasure on the left for a light machine gun. Normally a type 28A pillbox was also provided with three other LMG positions to provide all round covering fire. This type 28A differs once again in that it has only two useable gun positions - both front facing, due to the surrounding earth bank that covers the others on the sides and at the rear.
