It would be easy to think that the blitz destroyed everything in Coventry city centre but here and there are reminders of the fine old town that it once was. Tucked away in a courtyard off Hill Street is this old almshouse originally endowed by the will of Thomas Bond in 1506 and restored in the 1830s. It still provides a home for the elderly.
