Created by Turner prize nominee Mel Chantrey, the dancing fountains were officially unveiled 26 May 2017. The installation comprises seventy-seven individually computer-controlled jets, a first in Europe. It is capable of creating circles of mist, rising high into the air. In the background, the Maritime Museum, formerly the offices of the Hull Dock Company.
