NZ3232 : Abandoned stretch of road

taken 1 year ago, near to Bishop Middleham, County Durham, Great Britain

Abandoned stretch of road
Abandoned stretch of road
The length of road, seen heading north, comes to an end not far ahead, runs adjacent to the A1(M) which lies immediately to the right, over a fence. An earlier version of OS Landranger 93 shows the road soon making a turn to the north-west and that would no longer be impossible - there's the vast void of Thrislington Quarry there now.
