This excellent circular board walk allows extensive and safe access onto a section of the famous raised bog of Cors Caron. Also available is a purpose built "hide" large enough to accommodate a full class of children (or other visitors).

The bog covers more than 800 acres (325 hectares). It is nearly four miles in length and provides a habitat for a wide range of wildlife and plants. The bog itself was formed 12,000 years ago when the last of the Ice Age glaciers melted away. A large shallow lake was left, which very gradually filled with sediments and vegetation, forming peat and later, acid peat.
For visitors to Cors Caron there are three car parks, accessed from the B4343 road between Tregaron and Pontrhydfendigaid. A river walk requires good footwear and may be muddy in places. It is sometimes unavailable, to allow natural grazing maintenance.
