TQ2685 : Hampstead Underground station, Greater London

taken 6 years ago, near to Hampstead, Camden, England

Hampstead Underground station, Greater London
Hampstead Underground station, Greater London
Opened in 1907 by the Charing Cross Euston & Hampstead Railway, part of the Underground Electric Railways of London, on what is now the Northern line from central London to Edgware. It was to have been called "Heath Street" and indeed, the tiling at platform level still displays this!
View east at the surface level building.
