The first store was opened in Chester in 1991, by Anthony Preston.
Costa
Costa / Costa Coffee is a coffee shop founded in London in 1971 by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa. The company was acquired by the Whitbread company in 1995.
In 2009 there were 893 outlets of the popular coffee house, 200 more than American rival Starbucks.
Poundland
Poundland is a British store chain that sells most items in its stores for £1 and stocks over 3,000 products. There are approx. 900 stoes in the UK.
