Looking south down Grainger Street
This is one of the premier streets in Newcastle city centre, created in the 1830's as part of Richards Grangers great rebuilding of the centre of Newcastle. The lower section past the junction with the Bigg Market on the left was rebuilt from the origin medieval lane in the 1860's as a link to the Central Station.
