SP4662 : Oxford Canal: Bridge Number 109

taken 9 years ago, near to Napton on The Hill, Warwickshire, England

Oxford Canal: Bridge Number 109
Oxford Canal: Bridge Number 109
Bridge Number 109 takes Tomlow Road over the canal.

It is described in the Nicholson's Guide as the Coventry Road Bridge. Looking at old large scale Ordnance Survey maps available online, the OS called it "Coventry Bridge" in their 1905 and 1970 editions, but never Coventry Road Bridge.

The bridge is steeply hump backed on the road side, and vehicle drivers always blow their horns on the approach, so it is not a preferred location to moor near to!
