Former dockside entrance to Wapping Basin, Tench Street, Wapping
At the northwest corner of dogleg Tench Street, it is now one entrance to the car park of the John Orwell Sports Centre, which is on the site of Wapping Basin. The basin was a small dock between the much larger Western Dock to the north and the Thames, all connected by locks in similar fashion to the Hermitage Basin upstream.
