There are plenty of designated footpaths through this ancient oak woodland, some on obvious tracks and some, like this one, crossing uninterrupted woodland.
A 61ha remnant of the original Charnwood Forest, Swithland Wood is part of the Bradgate Estate and is managed by the Bradgate Park Trust.
