Horse riders are directed along the bridleway to the right. The public footpath goes along the track straight ahead and this obvious maintenance track peters out as the woodland gets less dense in the distance.
A 61ha remnant of the original Charnwood Forest, Swithland Wood is part of the Bradgate Estate and is managed by the Bradgate Park Trust.
