This path passes the large Swithland Camp, a collection of wooden holiday cabins and more modern structures managed by Swithland Wood Farm. Amazingly the site was locally listed by Charnwood Borough Council in 2004.The listing description states: "An untidy cluster of unremarkable timber framed chalets mainly clad with horizontal softwood boarding painted green. Perhaps 1920s in origin with a number of later additions. Generally, single storey with felt pitched roofs. Somewhat dilapidated."
