The west-facing bay platform does not appear to be in regular use. The former goods yard to the left is reduced to a couple of sidings possibly used by maintenance engineers.
Taunton Station

Taunton station is a junction station on the route from London to Penzance, 143 miles west of London Paddington station. It is operated by Great Western Railway. It is also served by CrossCountry trains and by the West Somerset Railway on special event days and by mainline steam excursions. The station opened in 1842.
