Baddesley Clinton - The manor and its moat
Baddesley Clinton - The manor and its moat
Baddesley Clinton is surely one of the most picturesque houses in Britain.
Dating originally from the late C15th, but built on the site of an earlier structure. The south-east range was refronted c.1736 and in the late C19th a service wing was added to north-east side of south-west range.
It is nowadays a National Trust property: LinkExternal link

Baddesley Clinton
This moated house has a history dating back to before the 13th century. For most of its life it belonged to the Ferres family who held it until 1939. It then passed to a distant relative who took the Ferres name and set about significant structural repair work before it was given to the National Trust (with a suitable endowment) in 1980. The house and extensive grounds are open to the public.
