SC2273 : Stone Walls above The Sloc

taken 20 years ago, near to Lingague, Isle of Man

Stone Walls above The Sloc
Stone Walls above The Sloc
The winding A36 - only on the Isle of Man could such a small road be classified as an 'A Road'! On the left the walls have been left to tumble down, but on the right they aremuch more substantial and help to keep the sheep on the highest moorland. The Sloc means The Pit and is the gap in the hills at the top centre of the picture. The wall on the right seems to contain a fair amount of white quartz stones.
