Grays Court Hotel and York Minster
Grays Court is one of the oldest inhabited houses in York having originally been built in the 11th century and with Roman remains within its grounds. It has been the home to notables such as Lord Fairfax, John Aislabie (Chancellor of the Exchequer) and the Squire and Gray families. It is now operated as both a hotel and a family home for the proprietor.
Behind is York Minster with the hexagonal roof of the Chapter House in front of the Central Tower.
