This is the 200' span Crosfield transporter bridge across the River Mersey. This view shows the gondola that originally carried railway wagons. Although it is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade II Listed, it is in a pretty deplorable condition. I hope that it can be conserved although its position, in a working chemical site, doesn't help its cause.
