Footpath waymarkers on the edge of Long Wood
Footpath waymarkers on the edge of Long Wood
Long Wood is a typical Chilterns beechwood with holly as an understorey shrub. The waymarkers are at the crossroads of the bridleway from Pishill to Russells Water and the footpath from Maidensgrove to Pishill Bank. Volunteers from the Chilterns Society maintain the waymarkers for many public rights of way in the Chilterns.
