A picturesque village situated approximately five miles north of Peterborough, Peakirk's population was recorded as 446 at the time of the 2011 United Kingdom national census. St. Pega's Church and the village green are located on Chestnut Close. Rectory Lane is a dead-end for motor traffic although pedestrians can continue to the neighbouring village of Glinton via footpaths across the fields.
