Old Milestone, A642, Wakefield, Lepton
The milestone is located in the narrow pavement, next to the low wall, opposite lamppost 55, on the south side of road. Parish of Kirkburton (Kirklees District). Metal plate attached to stone post, Brayshaw & Booth iron casting design, erected by the County Council in the 19th century.
The milestone was originally located at the current location of the milestone YW_WKHU10 Link However, following removal and refurbishment of both milestones, they were re-instated in 2012 the wrong way round.
