Old Milepost, B6524, West of West Edington
The milestone is located opposite the farm entrance by Hill Head house on the grass verge on the south side of the road. Parish of Whalton (Castle Morpeth District). Cast iron post, Patterson twin ovals arrowed iron post design, erected by the Ponteland turnpike trust in the 19th century. The milestone has been moved from its original location 30m west of Camp House, about 1/3 mile to the west, at some time since it was listed in 1987.
