Wessex Ridgeway in Terrace Coppice
For northbound walkers on the trail, this is the beginning of the climb up Hambledon Hill.
The surface of this track is quite dreadful. Side to side it is a muddy morass, and impossible to make progress upon, without clinging to the wire fence.
It becomes steeper in gradient further on, and more difficult to negotiate.
Wessex Ridgeway
The Wessex Ridgeway is a 136-mile long-distance footpath which runs from Marlborough in Wiltshire to Lyme Regis in Dorset. It was opened in 1994.
