Statue of Randolph Turpin
Randolph Turpin was the Middleweight World Champion boxer in 1951 when he defeated Sugar Ray Robinson. He died in 1966, aged only 38. This statue was erected in 2001 marking the 50th anniversary of his winning of the world title. The statue was unveiled by Sir Henry Cooper.
