The milestone is located at the bottom of the dip, East of the White Horse public house on the South side of road. Parish of Kirkburton (Kirklees District). Metal plate attached to stone post, Brayshaw & Booth iron casting design, erected by the County Council in the 19th century.

The milestone was originally located at the current location of the milestone YW_WKHU09 Link. However, following removal and refurbishment of both milestones, they were re-instated in 2012 the wrong way round.
