Elland Edge Quarry
Elland Edge Quarry
The Elland Flags are so-called because the sandstone easily splits on the bedding plane to from flat flagstones, which are used widely for paving. Stocks are stored in the centre of the photo. Even stone slabs are wrapped in plastic these days!
