Closures on Market Place
Closures on Market Place
On the left is The Cocked Hat SJ8990 : The Cocked Hat which opened in 2013. It was previously the Pack Horse SJ8990 : Packhorse Inn. Built before 1671 on the site of the Rector's house. It was first mentioned as a pub in 1790. The present building probably dates from the mid 19th century. It is now closed and boarded up.

On the right is the forum NS2 fashion shop at #3 Market Place. The store closed after being raided by Trading Standards who found and seized a large quantity of bogus counterfeit garments. Update: The Cocked Hat reopened in February 2019.
