SJ9995 : St Michael and All Angels Church, Mottram

taken 6 years ago, near to Mottram in Longdendale, Tameside, England

St Michael and All Angels Church, Mottram
St Michael and All Angels Church, Mottram
Has a dominant position towering above all local settlements. There may have been a church on this site well before the first written records spoke of clergy in 1225. The appearance of the structure today seems to be largely reflective of an 1854/5 restoration.
