Dragons on Kew Gardens pagoda
From 1762 to 1785 the pagoda at Kew was guarded by carved wooden dragons around the ten roofs. Then they were removed - and in 2019 dragons were installed again. Those on the first floor are hand-painted carved wood. On the other nine floors the dragons are 3D printed in polyamide, the size of dragon reducing from 2.3m nose to tail on the first level to 1m at the 10th level.
