St Mary's Primary School, Dilwyn
Closed by Herefordshire Council as uneconomic, determined villagers re-opened it and were awarded Free School status in January 2013. The school is now booming and delivering excellent results from happy pupils. The blue stars remind the village of a recent first-class Ofsted report. The school building dates from 1845 and was designed by William Heather. The School House is a listed 17th century cottage.
