NS3779 : Carman Cottage: northern end of the ruin

taken 7 years ago, near to Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland

Carman Cottage: northern end of the ruin
Carman Cottage: northern end of the ruin
The view is from inside the ruin. The northern end wall appears, indistinctly, left of centre. An indentation in it is the former site of a fireplace; there was a chimney at this end of the building, as there was at the other end. Behind the ruin, the land dips away along the course of a burn, as shown on the map.

In NS3779 : Ruins of Carman Cottage, this is the far end of the building.
Carman Cottage

Possibly an eighteenth-century building. It was inhabited into the twentieth century, but is now a ruin. See Link (in a Geograph article) for more information.
