Geograph - photograph every grid square

This end of the park was the site of a "shadow factory" in World War 2, i.e. one employing motor industry staff to produce military aircraft parts. After the war, the site was used for production of engines for David Brown tractors and Aston Martin cars from 1947 to 1956. The path running left to right across this view is a public right of way following the course of an old field boundary path, and marked the western end of the factory site, beyond which are the grounds of the original West Royd House SE2134 : West Royd House, Farsley.
